Update from the Fosters: While participating in training for his job, Jeremy injured his knee and is currently receiving physical therapy. We are waiting to receive test results to find out the extent of his injuries, so for now we have taken a break from training to work on his recovery. Thank you for all of your prayers and support. We will keep you updated as soon as we know more.

Our Challenge....
Dear Family and Friends,
The Foster team has decided to challenge ourselves and train for the LA Half Marathon on January 16, 2011 for the benefit of Team World Vision. We are partnering with our church, The Grove Community Church, to raise money to build clean water wells for Uganda. For those of you that don’t know, Jeremy was born in Kenya and Africa has always held a special place in our hearts. We are extremely excited for this opportunity and invite you to participate in this journey with us.
World Vision is a non-profit, “dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. World Vision serves all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.” There work in Uganda began in 1972, and today over 150,752 children are registered through the World Vision sponsorship program. Their goals for this country include providing nutritional programs, clean water and sanitation, and educational advancements. (Team World Vision)
Here is the link to the donation page, it can also be found on the right side of the blog. (Grove Community Church- Support Page). If you so choose, you can support one or both of us. Our names are listed individually since we are running as individuals. If you need information on how to donate other than online, please contact us.
We are really excited for this lifestyle change as we train and push ourselves to put in the miles during each week. Saturday mornings are spent training with the rest of our Grove Team, and pushing ourselves to run longer distances. After all….we are running for water.
